(A) Why Should You Choose Us?
Do you feel upset when you don't know how to solve math problems? Are you disappointed with your school's incomprehensible math classes? Are you frustrated with poor math scores? Dr. Liang at SL Math Education & Tutoring Center can help you out. He holds a bachelor degree in math education, and PhDs in math from China and Canada (UWO) respectively. He has fifteen years of experience teaching/tutoring math in both high school and university levels. Not only does he have deep understanding of math, but he is also very good at imparting math knowledge to students in a simple and understandable way.
Combining the divergent thinking of western education with the logical thinking of eastern education, he always teaches math clearly and thoroughly so that students not only understand WHAT but more importantly understand WHY. Over the years, his excellence in math teaching and tutoring has been recognized by students and their parents.
(B) Courses/Services Offered
(1) Two math contest courses: Grade 5-6 Math Contest, and Grade 7-8 Math Contest. Math contest courses mainly cultivate students' ability to solve math problems and to win math competitions, so as to enhance their interest in learning math. We mainly teach methods and skills of solving problems in math competition, but the necessary basic knowledge will be supplemented when necessary.
(2) Three high school math courses: Grade 9-10 Math, Grade 11 Math, and Grade 12 Math. High school math courses embody the combination of divergent thinking with logical thinking. On the one hand, by mastering the WHAT and WHY of each knowledge point, the students will have a very clear thread and idea for every building block, consequently lay a solid math foundation. On the other hand, by analyzing various problems (from textbooks and math contests), students' ability to solve math problems will be greatly improved.
(3) One-to-one math tutoring services to all level (including college and university) students.
(C) Registration
(1) The fall semester will start on August 6 and end on December 21, 2018, 20 weeks in total (tentatively).
(2) It is time now to register via email at LondonProfMath@gmail.com. Please provide the following information: a) course title; b) student's name; c) contact number of the parents.
(3) The rate is $20 per hour, with a total of 30 hours per course, so the cost of each course is 20 x 30=$600 (tax-free). However, if you pay before July 25, 2018, you will get 5% discount. In other words, you only need to pay 600 x 95%= $570 per course.
